ランチェスター戦略って何？
今回取り上げる弱者のためのランチェスター戦略ですが、そもそも一体これはどんな戦略なんでしょう？
簡単に言うと、弱い立場にいる人が自分が戦える分野を見つけ、そこに資源を集中させ、一点突破で勝つ、という考え方です。
もしも自分よりも能力もお金も環境も全ての資源において有利な人や組織に勝とうと思ったら、同じことをしていてはいけません。
強者がやらないような、もしくは真似できないようなことを見つけ、そこに資源を集中させることで差別化ができ、その分野に限り、強者に勝つことができます。
ざっくりいうとこういう考え方が弱者のためのランチェスター戦略です。
そこで今回は何を英語で話し合うかというと
自分が戦いたい分野は何？
強者はどのように結果を出している？
強者に勝つための具体的な戦略は何？
この３つについて話し合っていこうと思います。
今回も英語で考えを深めていきましょう！

Lanchester Strategy for the Weak
Some of you might be interested in launching a business at some point in life.
And soon you’ll realize that there are tons of individuals and companies doing exactly what you want to do.
And here’s what you might be thinking. “If those people are already doing what I’m trying to do, how can I possibly compete with these people, much less large corporations?
It is true that if you are going to provide the same goods or services as your competitors do, who are already much ahead of you, you are most likely to lose the game.
How can you win the game which, for most peoples’ eyes, are hard one to win.
Here’s the way: Lanchester Strategy for the Weak.
Take English language school, for example. In major language schools, there are a variety of teachers from all different backgrounds, all speaking English fluently.
You get to learn English from native English speakers through conversations.
If a small school takes the same approach, one of a few ways to compete with major giant corporations is competitive pricing.
However, if you just focus on a small area, such as pronunciation or vocabulary building, you might have a chance, as no major corporation will focus on such a tiny area of studies.
This approach is widely known as Lanchester’s Laws.
Lanchester strategy for the weak has some overlapping concept with Blue Ocean Strategy, in which you find few competitors in the market.
Using specific business field as an example, we will be discussing how we can get into the market and will successfully get a small portion of share by differentiating.
